Chalazion Incision and Curettage (I&C) is a minor surgical procedure performed to remove a chalazion, a painless lump caused by a blocked meibomian gland in the eyelid. During the procedure, a local anesthetic is applied to numb the eyelid. A small incision is made on the inner side of the eyelid to access the chalazion, followed by curettage (scraping) to remove its contents. The incision is left open to heal naturally, and patients are advised on post-procedure care to prevent recurrence.
