Fundus Fluorescein Angiography
Fundus Fluorescein Angiography (FFA) is a diagnostic imaging technique used to examine the blood vessels in the retina and evaluate the health of the eye’s internal structures. The procedure involves injecting a fluorescent dye (fluorescein) into the bloodstream, which travels to the retina. A special camera is then used to capture a series of images as the dye moves through the retinal blood vessels. This helps detect abnormalities such as diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal vein occlusion, and other vascular issues.
